Public Entries

If a particular term is not available in the database, users can suggest that the term be added to it. Once we approve the term, the user will be rewarded with 1 point per approved term and the suggested term will be displayed in the database.

This is a great service that you provide to other users. They get to see terms that are not available in the database but which you feel might be useful to others.

We may not accept a public entry on following grounds:

  • The term is too broad-based, for example, a noun + noun (acetic acid, nitric acid).
  • The term is too obscure, low probability of usage by the subscriber.
  • Profane, vulgar, non-standard term.
  • Similar entry is already available in the database (for example, different verb forms, singular/plural form).
